Gaming Rundown
Dec. 1st, 2006 12:35 amI've done what prep I can for Saturday's installment of Beyond the Mountains of Madness. That is:
I've gotten a binder and plastic sheets, and put the handouts from last time in them.
I've updated character sheets on the wiki so that they are now hopefully accurate -- Josh bumped his PC's SIZ down and the POW, and hence, SAN, up. Dave used the rules for Great War Veterans from Green and Pleasant Land.
I've reviewed the current chapter and the next two. If we get through all of that, we'll break early.
I've gotten word that Pamela's got this seminar that'll keep her till late. Sigh.
I've updated the wiki for the Cthulhu High PBEM game.
I've got a bit more steam back for Elsa, the PC I'm currently working on for the larp. The tricky bit was a piece of information, A, which I wasn't sure whether she should have or not.
mnemex said she should, if and only if we could come up with a non-idiot plot reason for her to sit on it, rather than tell anyone. We couldn't.
So, he asked, who else knows piece A? And the answer is, probably not enough people. We may be able to work on that. But, A should not be something that becomes common knowledge in the first half hour. Well, if it does, we can deal, no biggie. But, gently rigging the odds is probably cool, as I think folks'll have more fun that way.
mnemex then noted that piece B might help ensure that piece A does eventually come out, which we do want. I realized that I didn't have any notes on who knew B. On review, I decided that at least 4 people should know B. Well, 5, technically. And, I thought of a couple of people who should have pieces to A.
All of this will, no doubt, be rethought a bunch of times. But, it should give me enough to go on to do a first draft of Elsa.
