Occasionally, I am clueless. There have been a couple of times I've discovered I've been doing something at a convention gaming table that folks wished I wouldn't have. In both cases, it was something easily under my control, and something I would have had no objection to stopping.
In both cases, the reason I did not stop is that no one told me there was a problem. In one case, since I did not know there was a problem, I then did exactly the same thing at a later game at the same convention. There were two players from the previous game who now had to put up with this for a total of eight hours. Such is truly not my wish. I found out after the convention that there was an issue by reading write ups on various forums.
In the other case, I found out months after the fact, and almost by accident.
Guys, for the love of whatever deities or principles you hold dear, I really would like the opportunity to stop doing these things at the beginning of the game. Actually, I would prefer to have enough of a clue not to do them in the first place, but if I don't manage that, please let me know.
